Frost Smite

Upon casting Frost Smite, your weapon is wreathed in a chilling frost. The next time you strike a creature with your melee weapon during the spell’s duration, the attack is imbued with the biting cold of the harshest winter. The target suffers an extra 1d6 cold damage, and its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the end of its next turn due to the frost encasing its limbs.

Frost Smite not only augments a paladin’s weapon with the piercing cold of frost but also hampers the target’s movement, embodying the paladin’s role as a warrior who not only punishes the wicked but also controls the battlefield, slowing the advance of evil with the unyielding chill of divine retribution.

When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the cold damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.
