Radiant Consecration
Upon invocation, Radiant Consecration envelops your weapon in a glowing aura of divine light. The next time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack during the spell’s duration, the weapon bursts with holy fire, dealing an extra 2d8 radiant damage to the target. Additionally, if the target is an undead or a fiend, it is also frightened of you until the end of your next turn, as the purifying light overwhelms it with the force of your conviction.
Radiant Consecration is a testament to the paladin’s role as a beacon of hope and a bulwark against darkness. By channeling the very essence of purity and light, this spell serves not only to harm those that lurk in the shadows but also to protect and inspire allies, reinforcing the paladin’s divine mission to strike down evil with the brilliance of their faith.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the radiant damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.
