Parties
Parties are the heartbeat of RPG campaigns, providing a framework for collaborative storytelling and shared adventures. The Party management system on Squire 5 is designed to streamline this collaborative process, enabling Game Masters (GMs) to easily organize and guide their players through epic narratives.
Accessing Parties
Simply navigate to My Game > Parties to view and manage your current parties. This is where the seeds of adventure are sown and nurtured into full-blown quests.
Party Management for GMs
GMs have the exclusive ability to create parties and manage memberships. Invitations are sent via email, and upon acceptance, players with an active Squire 5 membership are added to the party roster. The parties you lead are listed for quick access, each representing a distinct narrative path.
Party Profiles
Creating a new party is a matter of a few clicks, inviting players to band together and embark on the journeys you've meticulously planned. The 'View' mode of each party provides a snapshot of the members, their roles, and the dynamics at play within the group.
Viewing and Administration
GMs have a dedicated action bar with options to 'View,' 'Edit,' 'Delete,' and 'Add' parties. 'View All' facilitates effortless navigation between different party groups.
Player Engagement
While players cannot create or modify parties, their participation is pivotal. They bring the characters to life, contributing to the party's success and enriching the shared story.
Party Membership Features
Visibility of Player Characters (PCs): GMs gain visibility of all PCs owned by party members, easing the process of integrating characters into campaigns. GMs cannot edit characters they do not own but the Award system allows them to award XP and treasure, as well as assign Inspiration and make private notes about and character owned by a party member.
Multiple Parties and Memberships: Flexibility is key, with GMs able to manage several parties and players free to join multiple groups.
Party Size: Up to 12 players plus the GM can be part of a party, balancing group dynamics and diversity.
The Parties feature is integral to the RPG experience on Squire 5, simplifying the organizational aspects and allowing GMs and players to focus on the thrill of the adventure.

The "Parties You're a Member Of" section provides an overview of the parties in which you participate as a member, not as the owner. This feature allows for easy management and interaction with multiple gaming groups.
Viewing and Managing Party Memberships
List of Parties: You will see a list of all the parties you are a member of. This list helps you keep track of your various gaming commitments and collaborations.
Membership Management Options:
View: Select the 'View' option to access detailed information about a specific party.
Leave Party: If you decide to exit a party, you can use the 'Leave Party' option. This action removes you from the party and its associated activities. Note that as a member, you can leave a party at any time, but if you are the owner, you cannot leave the party. Once you leave a party, you cannot rejoin unless invited back by the party owner.
Important Considerations
Leaving a Party: When leaving a party, be aware that you will no longer have access to that party's information, campaigns, or characters. Consider communicating with the party owner or other members before making this decision.
Updates and Notifications: Changes in your party memberships, such as leaving a party, are updated immediately on the platform. You may receive notifications related to these changes, ensuring you stay up-to-date.
Pending Invitations
The "Pending Invitations" section keeps track of all the invitations you have received to join different parties. Here's how to handle these invitations:
Managing Invitations
List of Invitations: Upon navigating to "Parties" or "Dashboard", you will see a list of all the party invitations that have been sent to you but not yet responded to. This list helps you keep track of which games you've been invited to join.
Accepting an Invitation: If you decide to join a party, simply click 'Accept' next to the relevant invitation. Accepting the invitation will add you to the party, allowing you to view its details and participate in its campaigns.
Rejecting an Invitation: Should you choose not to join a party, you can click 'Reject' to decline the invitation. This action will remove the invitation from your pending list and notify the party owner of your decision.
Your Parties
The "Your Parties" section is a central hub for managing the parties you have created or are a part of. This area provides an overview of your parties and offers various options for managing them.
Viewing and Managing Party Lists
List of Parties: When you access "Your Parties," you'll see a list of all the parties you own. This list provides an at-a-glance view of your current parties, making it easy to keep track of multiple groups.
Party Management Options:
- View: Click on the 'View' option to see detailed information about a particular party. This includes the list of members and any relevant campaign details associated with the party.
- Edit: The 'Edit' option allows you to make changes to the party's details such as adding or removing members.
- Delete: If you need to disband a party, use the 'Delete' option. Be cautious with this option, as deleting a party is a permanent action and cannot be undone.

Invite
Expanding your party and bringing in new members is made easy with the Invite feature. Here's how to use it to grow your gaming group.
Sending Invitations
Email Addresses: To invite new members, enter their email addresses in the provided field. You can add up to 12 email addresses at a time, separated by commas. This allows for a large group to be invited in a single action.
Be mindful of the overall party size limit, which is 12 players plus the GM. Ensure that your invitations do not exceed this limit.
Once you have entered the email addresses, click 'Send Invite' to dispatch the invitations. Each invitee will receive an email with instructions on how to join the party.
Once an invitation is accepted, the new member will be added to your party, and their details will be visible in the party management section.
Party Members
Managing your Party Members is a straightforward process, providing clarity and control over the roles and active status of each member within your RPG campaign.
Overview of Party Members
List View: The Manage Party Members page displays a list of all current members in your party. You can review their names, email addresses, and roles at a glance.
Editing Member Roles and Status
Role Assignment: Each member can be assigned a role, typically 'Player' or 'Game Master' (if their account supports this). This can be adjusted using the dropdown menu next to their name. It defines their permissions and access within the party.
Active Status: You can toggle the active status of each member. An active member is one currently participating in the party's campaigns. If a member should take a hiatus or leave the campaign, you can uncheck their active status.
Removing Members
Remove: Should you need to remove a member from the party, simply click the 'Remove' button next to their name. Please use this function with caution, as it will remove the member and all associated characters from your party.
